Music to my Ears!

This morning while Rebecca was (not so patiently) waiting for a play date to arrive and I am scrambling around to pick up so the friend wouldn't be completely offended, I heard Emma say, "Rebecca, do you want me to read you a book?"
This was such music to my ears because up to this point Rebecca has always said no.  Her reason is that Emma reads to slowly and doesn't add the silly voices Mommy does.  I think Emma nearly leapt out of her skin with excitement when Rebecca said yes.  It was so sweet to hear my daughter reading to someone other than me; and not only that, but someone who up until this point has rejected any offers.

Such a sweet memory I hope never to forget.
