Decorating the Martz Household
It was a typical Saturday in our house today until I made the suggestion to Emma to help me decorate for Halloween. She immediately jumped off the couch and said "OK Mommy, where do we start." I had such a great time with her. She is finally at an age where she gets it. She was allowed to pick any decorations and do up the fireplace mantel. We went out to the garage and brought in the 6 foot ladder so she could reach the mantel all by herself. One of the fun things she said happened when we were putting "Frank" the pop-up outside. She said, "Mommy, we can't put it by the front door." I said, "Why not? That is usually where he is." She said "Because I know that Audrey won't be able to see him from her house." She asked me to call over to the Smith house and make sure Audrey could see him from her window. Amy assured us that she could, indeed, see Frank. What true friends will do for each other. She was such a joy to watch. It just reaffirmed to me that she really truly loves being a part of everything we are doing and that she is old enough now to handle it. What a great evening of fun! Oh, and you may be wondering where Rebecca was during all of this? Don't worry, she was climbing the ladder.

You can tell Emma thanks for her concern that we see Frank... now Audrey will be standing on her bed peeking out her window every night rather than sleeping :) By the way, Audrey wants to know what the flashing light was in Emma's room ... looked like a disco in there!!! :)
PS - Tell Rebecca to get off the ladder, Mommy doesn't need another trip to the ER!!!
