I came across this quote today and it has certainly changed my perspective on my children always interrupting me. Not that there aren't days when the interruptions drive me absolutely insane, but at least now I will think twice before showing my frustration.
INTERRUPTIONS

other persons' needs. The interruptions which we chafe at are the credentials
of our indispensability. The greatest condemnation that anybody could incur -

that nobody ever interrupts us, and we are left comfortably alone."

I want my children to always feel they can interrupt me. Because before I know it those kids are going to be all grown up and out of the house.
