Future Weddings

The other night we were sitting at the dinner table and somehow we got onto the topic of weddings.  The girls asked me about everything they could about weddings.

Here is a list:
1) How did Daddy ask you to marry you?
2) Who were your bridesmaids?
3) What color dresses did your bridesmaids wear?
4) How many wedding have you been a bridesmaid in?
5) What color dresses did you wear for those weddings?

The conversation quickly turned to their own weddings and Rebecca telling Emma that she could wear my old wedding dress if she wanted to.  Rebecca was all about it.  Emma said something to the effect of, "Well, I think I might want my own dress."  To which I said, "We will honor whatever your decision is." Then the girls started brainstorming ideas of what their bridesmaid dresses would look like.

Here is Rebecca's plan:
She is going to have 100 (of her closest be sties) bridesmaids.  They are each going to have a dress that has rainbows all over them.  She even thought that Grandpa could make small rainbows out of Vinyl and he could apply them to all 100 dresses.

Here is Emma's plan:
She thinks she will have 3 or 4 bridesmaids.  The are each going to have a dress with diagonal lines of alternating colors.  She wants pink and pale green for the fabric.

Apparently even their weddings are going to hold true to exactly who my children are; Rebecca being the eccentric free-spirit and Emma being the conservative realistic one.

I love them each so much for the children they are.  So different in just about every aspect of their lives and yet each one wanting the same end results in life.

Just can't wait to see where this ride called life is going to lead them.  May God protect them and give me strength to see them mature into wonderful women.
