Today was certainly an unusual way for us to spend a holiday. First off, I think we had some firsts here. Rebecca slept until 8:45. Emma slept until 9:50. And we all got a good night's sleep. That alone made it unusual. But it gets even better.
My husband suggested yesterday that we clean out the refrigerator. I jumped all over that offer. I really do not like projects like that because one thing leads to another and next thing you know it is 5 hours later. Well, that is exactly what happened, however, with Brian's help, it was actually very therapeutic. As I sit here typing I feel like we actually accomplished a lot today. Of course the fridge led to cleaning out the freezer, which led to cleaning out the pantry, and the hutch, and some baskets of the girls' toys in the living room, and the book shelf. But oh how good it feels!
We ended the night on a bit of a more traditional way to spend the 4th of July. We drove to our church parking lot. (It is a well kept secret spot to watch fireworks in town). We were surprised to be joined by two of our neighbors, with whom we shared our secret spot with. Fun was had by all!
