It has truly been a great year for Emma at elementary school. She has just loved her teacher. Although there were a few kids in her class that were making bad choices, she seemed to take it all in and decide for herself that she didn't want to make the same choices. It took her about a month to adjust to the whole full day of school, lunch in the cafeteria, playing on the playground, etc., but she came through with flying colors. She makes us so proud! Everything from 9 gotchas to Student of the Month in May. So many things to be proud of for Emma.
Student of the Month
Last Day of School. Her sister was happy because she could have a playmate now that her school had been over for 3 weeks.
With one of her neighbor friends.
With another neighbor friend.
Look of pure excitement coming off of the bus!
Every year, we have a picnic with all the neighbor kids and celebrate with sprinklers, popsicles, and just being together. The kids always look forward to this massive all afternoon/evening event.
Having lost one of our neighbor kids to cancer at the tender age of 5, our kids have really rallied through the sadness and are taking a moment to show her family that although they have moved from the neighborhood, they are still very much a part of our lives.
So long 2011-2012 School Year!
