Last spring I started getting a little panicky about the kids being home all summer, so I started to ask them if they would like to go to any camps while they were home. One of the first ones they chose was Dance Camp. It kind of surprised me coming from Emma, but she was all about it. So, for one week shortly after school let out for the summer the kids went to a Dance camp for three hours. They didn't say much throughout the week, but on the last day of camp, there was a recital for the parents and grandparents. My parents came down so they could see the recital. It was very fun to watch the kids. Rebecca is a naturally talented dancer and was beautiful in each dance. Emma was surprisingly elegant. I didn't expect it considering she can trip just walking across the room. She really did a nice job as well. I love watching them try new things and finding out they really enjoy something. As a parent, I feel it is my job to provide as many different opportunities for my children to experience so as they get older they can decide for themselves what they want to be passionate about.
The kids each grouped up and wrote and performed a skit.
This was the Jazz number.
Emma was proud that she performed without being too nervous.
With their teacher, Ms. Debbie.
Some beautiful flowers for my little dancers.
