Rainy Sunday

Last Sunday we promised the girls that we would go to the outdoor YMCA pool after church.  So, we got home from church, ate lunch and headed to the pool.  No more than five minutes after we were in the water, the whistles were blowing telling everyone to get out of the water due to an impending thunder storm.  The girls were devastated.  OK.  They were downright mad.

So, we decided to go for a short drive and stop at the pretzel factory, go home and paint a table for Rebecca's room and have some family time.

This quickly turned into playtime in the rain.  We all had our swimsuits on, so the girls got on their rain boots and we went for a summer thunderstorm walk.  It was so much fun.  We all laughed and felt silly walking down our neighborhood street in our swimsuits, but at the same time it was very refreshing and a whole lot of fun.

When we returned, the girls just played around in the driveway for a while until the lightening got a little too close for comfort.
