Happy 4th of July!!

It has been a great couple of days.  We started out celebrating on the 3rd with hosting our Annual July 4th Neighborhood Get-Together.  Since a lot of the neighbors had other plans, we ended up doing a picnic with two other families.  

We had such a great time.  The kids were absolutely perfect.  They all got along so well and just went off and played.  We had our first course dessert, which was s'mores over our neighbor's fire pit.  The kids had so much fun.  

Then we proceeded out front to watch an experiment our neighbor's son wanted to show everyone.  What happens when you mix diet soda and Mentos?  A big, fantastic, cool looking mess.

Then we had our second course of dessert which consisted of ice cream, water ice, lemon cookies, and chipwich cookies.

Then the long awaited back yard pyro-technics.  

It was a great evening with some really great friends!
