July 4th Fun

We hosted our 4th Annual Neighborhood Dessert/Fireworks party this year.  It was great fun, as usual.  One of the neighbor kids decided months ago that she wanted to have a parade and decorate their bikes for the 4th.  So, the kids did exactly that.  The parade quickly changed from a parade to a race.  I think it was because they were so excited to finally be allowed to ride in the street instead of the sidewalks.  Oh the freedom.

The parade was followed by some delicious desserts provided by all the neighbors.  Once again, I am reminded how blessed we are to live in a neighborhood where everyone gets along, both grown ups and kids.

Dessert was followed by sparklers and fireworks.  Our residential pyrotechnics expert, Chad, performed another successful and spectacular show.  Fun was had by all.
