As many things in life, you don't believe what people say until it actually happens in your own life. Parenthood has shown me again and again how true that statement is. You have always heard, even as a kid growing up, how quickly the time goes by. As I was looking for pictures to put up of Emma I was very much reminded of this. It has been 4 years already since we had Emma. I still remember having no idea what it meant for water to break, until it happened. I had no idea how much our lives were about to change. Here we were going from being two people who did what they wanted to when they wanted to, to being three whose priorities quickly shifted to having Emma be the priority. What a fantastic way to have our lives changed.
She has continued to bring many laughs and giggles. One of my favorite things about Emma is her "stick-tuitiveness." If there is a challenge in front of her, she will usually stick to it until she has either figured it out on her own or asked for help to figure it out. I also love her voice. She is always singing around the house and it brings joy to my heart to know that both of my children love music. She is definitely a dare devil who loves a physical challenge. She is not afraid of very much and will at least attempt something with little thought to fear.
She is turning into a wonderful little girl and I am enjoying so many moments with her. I am trying to keep these moments etched in my brain because all too quickly she will be all grown up.
Happy Birthday sweet Emma. I love you very much!

I can't believe that Emma was only about 2 1/2 months old when we moved here ... and here she is, such a big girl. I had no idea at the time that she would become such an important part of Audrey's life! The pictures are all so beautiful. Emma is such a sweet and generous little girl. You & Brian are doing a great job raising her!
One more comment ... please tell me that you did NOT really post this at 3:48 am!!! :(
I must say that you've definitely grown into a beautiful little girl. We love you very much Emma! We don't see you nearly as much as we'd like but we enjoy every moment we have with you when we are visiting! Have fun being four! Lots of love! Aunt Char
What adorable pictures of Emma! I can't believe she's 4 already! I'm so glad our kids are growing up together, with many more years to look forward to!
