October has been a month filled with great anticipation of the last day of the month. Who knew that time could fly for the grown-ups, but absolutely drag for a child? Around here we have related the month to how many more movie nights until Trick-or-Treat. As you can see from the pictures below, we have done a number of things in preparation or Halloween; everything from harvest parties with the neighbors to painting pumpkins to parades in school to trick or treat itself. The kids are getting to the age (more Emma than Rebecca) when they totally understand what each of the holidays is about. It was fun to watch Emma teach Rebecca how to say Trick-or-Treat. I love the kids for an uncountable number of reasons, but one of which is seeing life through their eyes. One of so many reasons to be thankful for all the blessings we have been given.
Rebecca being all proud of herself for successfully climbing the ladder by herself.
Best friends in the whole wide world
Nothing more fun than jumping in hay
All the kids (+ Chad and Brian) and their pumpkin creations
Rebecca's finished product
Emma's work in progress
Emma's preschool class all dressed up.
Neighborhood kids all sitting. Is that possible?
Who bribed them with candy:)
Our little duckling
The neighborhood kids putting on their own parade to the song "Celebrate."
All Emma's loot and the piece she chose to eat was the foil eyeball.

I think the eye ball candy is a great choice Emma! Nathan picked the Cheetos bag. His reasoning is that if he picks a bag of something, he gets more than just one! Don't you just love it when your child out smarts you? Also, I love the first picture of Rebecca. That is definitely going on Aunt Char's entertainment center! :) Love to all!
You got some GREAT shots of Emma and Rebecca there! What fun memories.
